Fictional depiction of Bono spray painting the fountain at Justin Herman Plaza in SF

Surprise Desire In The Plaza

When the news reached the ears of the hottest band in the world, U2, a plan was hatched. The plan was to throw a free concert for financial folks in a cool city. Bono called it the “Save the Yuppies” concert. A snarky take on the lost souls who got their comeuppance when the bloated stock market blew up.

I will buy an album without hearing even one note. Basically if a solid favorite of mine releases something new, I am getting it. No matter what! Praise and Passion: An Evening with Santana at the Fillmore

In a band like Santana, there are multiple drummers, multiple lead singers but only ONE lead guitarist. Of course, like everyone else in the place, I was mesmerized by Mr. Santana. His hands and fingers touch that fretboard ever so lightly and just the littlest bend in his finger elicits a wail from that instrument that sounds like a soaring eagle.
